OCU men rally for 2-1 win over Rogers State

CLAREMORE, Okla. – Damon Ellis provided the winning goal in the 80th minute in Oklahoma City University's come-from-behind 2-1 win over Rogers State on Saturday at Soldier Field.

Luke Garvey, a junior from Liverpool, England, provided the assist to Ellis, a freshman from Chester-Le-Street, England. OCU, ranked fifth in NAIA men's soccer, improved to 11-1, 3-0 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. 

John Dill, a sophomore from Broken Arrow, Okla. scored the first goal for the Stars late in the second half to tie the contest.

The Stars' defense held Rogers State to only four shots in the match. Goalkeeper Andy Fitzpatrick, a sophomore from Kansas City, Mo., had two saves in the match. 

OCU faces John Brown (Ark.) Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Siloam Springs, Ark.
